Marian R. Marazza, age 71, of Erie, passed away on June 10, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Houtzdale, Pa. on July 16, 1945, a daughter of the late Albert and Marian Tippett Wood.
Marian was a member of the 1963 class of Academy High School and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority Charter and loved all her sorority sisters. She worked in the banking industry for 35 years as a teller for Union Bank, Mellon Bank, Zurn FCU and Erie FCU where she retired from in 2003. Marian was a kind, caring and loving person who had a great adoration and pride for all of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in law, Cliff and Lucy Wood, sister-in-law, Delores Wood, brothers-in-law, Leo Gavazzi and Russell Marchese and sister and brother-in-law Johanna and Joseph Ruzzi.
Marian is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Louis P. Marazza, four sons, Michael J. (Rebecca) Marazza, of Saegertown, PA, John W. (Deidre) Marazza, of McKean, PA, and Richard D. Marazza and Jerome P. Marazza, of Erie, PA, four grandchildren; Zachary and Darren Marazza, Madeline Marazza and Austin Rice. She is further survived by two brothers; David W. Wood, of Erie and Gordon Wood, of Brockway, PA and a sister, Judy (James) Martin, of Emporium, PA, sisters-in-law; Arlene Marazza Gavazzi, of Erie, PA and Antonia Marchese of Sun City Center, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th St., Erie on Wednesday June 14th from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15th at Christ United Methodist Church, 2615 West 32nd St., Erie, PA 16506, with Pastor Ron Geisler, presiding.
