Marian Art Werth Mack, age 94 of Millcreek, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lockport, NY on November 6, 1919 to Florence and Norman Art.
Marian worked as the assistant manager of St Jude’s and Our Lady’s Christian School cafeteria for over 19 years and also worked at K Mart for 9 years.
She was a member of St Jude the Apostle Church, the Sunflower Club and was also a life member of the Cascade Club.
Marian loved her flowers and was an avid gardener. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting and quilting.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward W. Werth and Claude D. Mack; her two sons Kenneth P. Werth and Edward W. Werth Jr. and granddaughter Cheryl Barnett.
She is survived by her three loving children, daughter Marcia DeSa (husband Dr. Richard J.) of Jefferson, GA, son James Werth (wife Carolyn) of Edinboro, and daughter Lou Ann Mikotowicz (husband Stan) of Erie; she is further survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and seven great great children.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Friday at 11:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2801 W. 6th St. Erie, PA 16505 at 12:30 p.m. with the Very Reverend John Detisch presiding. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
