Marian Kuzmin

Marian Evelyn Kuzmin, 95, of Erie, was carried by the angels to the mansion prepared for her in heaven on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 15, 1920 in Erie, PA, daughter of George and Tillie Anselment.

Marian was a long time active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, but attended Luther Memorial Church for the last 15 years. In her early years, she was a ballerina dancer and she spent many summers on a houseboat in Presque Isle Bay with her husband John and many friends and family.

Along with her parents, Marian is preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, John Michael Kuzmin in 1968, two brothers; Frederick William (Buddy) and George Anselment, and a special cousin Evelyn Steger who was her “Gold Dust Twin.”

Marian is survived by three children; John Jr. (Jack) Kuzmin (Maryann) of Pittsfield, Karen Fomich (Ray) of Erie, and Kathleen Kuzmin of Erie, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Wednesday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service there at 3:30 P.M. with Reverend William Coleman officiating. Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
