Marian Evans

Marian (Morris) Evans, age 92, of Erie passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Brevillier Village. She was born April 13, 1926 in Erie the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Burke) Morris.

Marian loved her family and spent her years caring for them and her community. She volunteered at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity where she belonged to their Ladies Auxiliary, and at local schools that her children attended. She was also a member of the Hamot Aide Society.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Evans, and her brother Frank Morris.

Marian is survived by her three children, David Evans of Erie, Carl Damian Evans (Kathy) of Ontario, NY, and Neena Derf of Palmetto, FL. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Shaun, Timothy, Michael, and David (Krista), as well as two great- grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity, 251 E. Front St., on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 8:30 AM until 9:00 AM when Funeral Services will be held. Burial will be at St. John the Divine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church’s Endowment Fund. Arrangements by the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St.
