Maria Manco

Maria M. Manco, age 67, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Nagybudmer, Hungary on December 5th, 1948 a daughter of the late Frank and Maria Rafeisen Krancsova.

She immigrated to the United States in 1957 and was a 1967 graduate of North Olmsted High School in Ohio. Maria was a supervisor with GTE and Verizon and retired from there. She also was employed by Tricom Business Systems in Cleveland. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church.

Maria was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Maria was also an avid cook, gardener, and bargain hunter, who loved shopping.

Maria is survived by her husband of 23 years, James R. Manco; two sons, Dale Vernick and his wife Kiesha of VA and Robert Vernick, his wife Stella and their children Baron and Camellia of CA; a step-daughter, Kelly Hall, her husband Kevin and their children Emily, Ashley and Grace of OH; and a step-son, Kevin Manco of Erie. She is further survived by and brother Frank Krane and his wife Ellen of OH.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2401 West 38th Street, at 10 a.m. with Rev David Renne officiating.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
