Margie Bannister

Margie Loraine Bannister, age 80, of Erie, died peacefully Sunday March 24, 2013 at Golden Living Western Reserve.

She was born in Big Stone Gap, VA on February 9, 1933 daughter of the late Cedric and Jean Davis Sloan.

Margie was a member of Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church where she served as the Executive Secretary and Treasurer for 35 years.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Bannister and a brother Bill G. Cooley.

Margie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Samantha Jo and Dexter.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 602 West 10th Street, on Wednesday from 1p.m. until the time of the service there at 4p.m. with Reverend Andrew Holmes Pastor of Elmwood Presbyterian Church and Reverend Harry H. John III Pastor Emeritus of Elmwood Presbyterian Church officiating.

Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
