Margaret Rose Zack

Margaret (Marge) Rose (Pintea) Zack, age 85, peacefully passed into the loving arms of her dear Lord Jesus Christ and Savior, with her devoted family by her side, Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born in Erie on April 18, 1939, daughter of the late Ilarie and Sylvia (Muntean) Pintea.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Zack. Marge was also preceded in death by her five sisters; Martha (Paul) Nagy, Ilene (Martin) Harmatz, Sylvia Smiley, Catherine “Kay” (Robert) Kellar, Ann (Gene) Thomas, and her brothers Larie (June) Pintea, and infant brother Leon Pintea, who passed away at birth.

She is survived by her devoted loving sons Larie (Mary) Zack and Patrick (Jan Victory, fiancé) Zack. She is further survived by her sister-in-law June Pintea, brother-in-law Robert Kellar, and several nieces and nephews.

Later in life, Margaret attended Edinboro College pursuing, and graduating with a Master’s Degree in Psychology, with honors. Upon graduation she was employed with GECAC, Barber National Institute and Family Services, until the time of her retirement.

Throughout life she enjoyed boating, dances, winter vacations in Florida, wonderful gatherings with family and friends, lunch with the girls, avid reading, and cooking. She was always sure to bring a memorable lasting impression with all those she had met on her life’s journey.

Friends are invited to call at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W 10th St., Erie, PA 16502, on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until time of prayer service at 11:00 A.M. with a 12:00 P.M. funeral mass at Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 2801 W 6th St. A private family interment in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorials contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or memorial contributions may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
