Margaret Rogala

Margaret D. Rogala, age 96, of Erie, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1916 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late John and Barbara Harvey.

Margaret graduated from Millcreek High School and was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Erie Maennerchor Auxilary, Charter Oak Garden Club, Zukor Club, and The Woman's Club of Erie.

Margaret traveled extensively nationally and internationally with her family and friends until her mid 80s. She also enjoyed reading and doing a crossword puzzle every day.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Rogala.

She is survived by her three children and their children: Susan J. Rogala, of Erie and her children Atty. John R. Evanoff, Lisa M. (Dr. Gary) Solomon, and Michael (Jennifer Loftus) Evanoff; Atty. Donald J. Rogala of Erie and his children Allison R. Rogala, DVMD and Jennifer H. Rogala; and Darlene Rogala (Thomas) Omark of Erie and her children R. Ryan and Brett J. Deeter. She is further survived by five great grandchildren Alexa and Anthony Evanoff, Kathrin Solomon, Maggie and John Evanoff and several nieces and nephews.

Private services are being held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home.
