Margaret Ring

Margaret Regina Ring, age 93, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

She was born in Coalport, PA on October 4, 1922 a daughter of the late Clifford and Frances Rafferty Jepson.

Margaret graduated from Academy High School.

She was a member or St. Jude Church and most recently Holy Cross Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Ring; a son, Michael Ring; a grandson, Hunter Pire; three brothers, James, George and Ed Jepson; and three sisters, Kay Julious, Betty Julious and Mary Gloystein.

She is survived by two sons; Robert N. Ring (Sue) of Canton, MI and Charles W. Ring (Mary) of Clinton, OH; two daughters, Carole Wingerter (Tom) of Fairview, and Susan Pire (Rick) of Erie; two brothers, Dick Jepson and Bob Jepson both of Erie. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 5 great- great grandchildren.

In appreciation to Great lakes Hospice for the excellent care they gave Margaret.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 7100 West Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16541. with Fr. Tom Tyler Celebrant. Burial to follow in Erie Cemetery.
