Margaret A. “Peggy” Pulice age 80, of Millcreek, was born to Eternal Life on Monday, February 15, 2016.
She was born in Smicksburg, PA on February 14, 1936, daughter of the late Jay and Maude Taylor Daugherty, Peggy graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Guidance Offices in the Millcreek Township School District for over 25 years.
She was a member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church.
The most important part of Peggy’s life was spending time with her beloved husband John, her children, and grandchildren at their various activities. She especially enjoyed their time in Florida and time spent with her many dear friends. Peggy enjoyed dancing, reading, and gardening and raised the art of homemaking to an entirely new level.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son- in- law, David P. Hanlon; and a brother Donald Daugherty.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John A. Pulice; a son, Jon J. Pulice and his wife Tami; four daughters, Kimberly and her husband Tony, Traci Loomis and her husband Kirk, Paige Hanlon and her husband Mike Hahesy, and Holli Lewis and her husband Tim, all of Erie. Peggy has 11 grandchildren: Dillon, Taylor, Collin, Peyton, Braden, Carson, Quinn, Riley, Bailey, John and Meghan. She is further survived by a sister, Kay Detelich and her husband Matt of Greenville, PA; a sister-in-law, Kay Santangelo and her husband Pat of Cleveland, OH; and a brother- in-law, Don Pulice and his wife Rinda of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, at 26th and Powell Ave, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 2801 W. 6th Street, Erie, PA 16505. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
