Margaret Mae Kimberlin Talkish, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17th, 2024, at Hamot Hospital with family by her side.
Margaret was born April 12th, 1928 in Brookville, PA.
She attended Edinboro University as an Art Major and she attended nursing school in Buffalo, NY, where she became a nurse. Margaret was a nurse at Farrow Hospital and then at Hamot Hospital in Erie. Other jobs included working for Parent Magazine and for Holiday Meat Packing. One of Margaret’s passions were her children, making sure each one felt loved and prayed for. She raised 10 of her own children and was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews,. Margaret loved Jesus Christ, and led her children in family devotions with prayer and Bible reading. She desired for her children and descendants to know how much Jesus loves them, to have Faith in God, to know scriptures, and to seek God in prayer. Her motto was to read the Bible, not a lot of books about the Bible. She memorized Psalm 1:1 and Psalm 23. One of her favorite Bible verses she would quote often was the end part of verse James 2:13 Mercy triumphs over judgement. She was also passionate about the return of Jesus Christ and encouraged people to pay attention to the signs leading up to that day. Margaret loved to sing and knew many songs and poems. Margaret loved life and her family through the good times and the bad, and is now resting in eternal life with her first love Jesus Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Willa Kimberlin; sisters, Mini, Violet, and Ema Lou; brothers, Frank and Robert and husband Ernest Talkish; her children, Curtis Talkish, Phillip Talkish, Jonathan Talkish, Heidi Hardisky; grandson, Lee Starvaggi.
