Margaret Billings

Margaret M Billings age 86, formerly of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Mathew and Clarrisa Jeffrey Rausch.

She graduated from Girard Union High School.

She worked many years as a nurse’s aide and 15 years as a custodian at Girard High School.

Margaret was a member of the Girard Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed bingo, bowling and crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Wendt, Mathew and Bill Rausch and four sisters, Doris Copeland, Mary Maher, Marcella Maitlen and June Zimmerman.

She is survived by a son Royce Billings and his wife Marylou of Girard; daughter, Karen M. Reynolds of Girard; sons, James E. Billings of Waverly, OH and Bruce M. Billings of Lake City; five grandchildren, Todd Reynolds, Sheri Swords, Eric, Brandon and Conner Billings; a great grandson, Dalton Swords; a brother, Bob Rausch; a sister Virgina Fetsuga; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street East, Girard on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Nicola Vitello officiating. Burial in Girard Cemetery.
