Margaret M. (Cleary) Bagnoni
Margaret Mary (Cleary) Bagnoni, age 63, of Erie journeyed to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 7, 2015 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born July 27, 1951 in Erie the daughter of the late Matthew and Margaret McIntire Cleary.
Margie’s devotion to and faith in her Savior provided support throughout her struggle and was a source of great peace in her fight. She desired to make Jesus known during her life and through her death. Margie was highly regarded for her kind, energetic, fun-loving character and was cherished for her outgoing and gregarious personality. She treasured the company of her family and friends. She was appreciated for her open, welcoming home and took great pleasure in celebrating life’s special occasions, whether great or small. She particularly enjoyed spending summer days on Lake Erie and proudly accepted her reputation as a legendary beach bum among those who knew and loved her. Margie, always ready for a new adventure, loved to travel and was fond of spending time with her family around the country.
Margie was a dedicated nurse, she enjoyed serving and caring for her patients at Millcreek Community Hospital until her retirement earlier this year. Above all else, Margie was a mother whose love for her four children defined her existence. Her children describe her as simply “the Best”. Most recently she relished the new role of “Gramcracker” and “Grandmama” devoting much of her energy to spending time with her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her four children; Stephen Bagnoni of Erie; Dean Bagnoni and his wife Sarah of Winston Salem, NC; Kerry Michelle Ohlers and her husband Clinton of Chattanooga, TN; and Jeffrey Bagnoni and his girlfriend Jessica DiLoreto of Erie. She is the grandmother of Quin and Wyatt Bagnoni and is the sister of Patricia Ann Gehrlein and her husband Donnie of South Lyon, MI; Kathleen Pirrello of Erie; Michael Cleary and his wife Michele of Dunedin, FL and Matthew Cleary and his wife Evelyn of Houston, TX.
