Marcene Edmiston

Marcene Elizabeth Edmiston, age 91formerly of Erie, PA died on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Passavant Lutheran Retirement Community in Zelienople, PA.

She was born in Snake Spring Valley, PA, September 17, 1925, a daughter of the late John Carl Snyder and Helen (Snyder) Patterson.

Marcene was a loving wife and mother. Marcene was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church, in Erie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin H. Edmiston; her step-father, Henry Patterson; a sister, Phyllis Hutzell; and a brother, Donald Snyder.

Marcene is survived by a son, Dennis and his wife Mary; a daughter, Melanie (Edmiston) Sturrock and her husband David Sturrock. She had six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue) on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service there at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Keith Sundberg officiating.

Burial will be private in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
