Madeline Kidder

Madeline V. Kidder age 94 of Lake City, Pa, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West.

She was born August 28, 1918 in North Girard, now Lake City, the daughter of the late Lorenzo Plummer and Eva Elizabeth Kiser Shorts.

Mrs. Kidder was a graduate of Rice Avenue Union High School in Girard, and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Lake City.

Madeline had been employed at General Telephone, and for 25 years she worked at L. Hopkins Company in Lake City. She later went on to work at Sterilizer Corporation in Erie, and from there she retired.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ordell (Del) Kidder in 1974, a sister, Helen Margaret Shramm, and a brother, Clifford John Shorts.

Mrs. Kidder is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Girard Cemetery.
