Macie Hill

Macie L. Hill, age 70, transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.  She was born on January 12, 1947 in Patmos, AR, a daughter of the late Jesse B. Mills and Gladys D. Holston Mills.

Macie attended the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed listening to music, talking and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny C. Hill, her infant sister Marilyn Mills and her nieces, Andrea Mills-McCullum and Tamika McClelland.

Macie leaves to cherish in memory, her children, Lisa Mills (Larry), Michael Mills (Tonya) and Michelle Morgan (Envall Winston), along with five grandsons.

She is further survived by her siblings, Gloria Mills of Texarkana, AR, Gladys Tate, Dorothy Bush (Rufus), Ruby Mills, Linda Douglas (David), Jessie “Vickie” Mills, James Hopson of Richmond, VA, Jesse Mills (Teresa), Thomas Winston Mills and Thurston “Scooter” (Jackie) all of Erie, PA.

Friends may call at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 155 E 21st St., Erie, PA 16503, on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Cole presiding.  Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery.
