Mabel Jedynski

     Mabel May Powell Jedynski, 91, of Erie, died Wed., Nov. 14, 2012 at St. Mary's at Asbury Ridge.  She was born Feb. 26, 1921 in Philipsburg, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Lola Frank Garber.  She attended Philipsburg High School and worked for W.T. Grants in Philipsburg and in Erie for a total of twenty years.  She also worked for Levik Jewelry Store in Erie until her retirement.  She was a member of Luther Memorial Church and a former member of the Zukor and Moose Clubs.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley George Jedynski, her adopted father, Samuel Powell, and a sister, Priscilla Leco.
     Survivors include a son, Stanley G. Jedynski III and wife Cathy, two grandchildren, Erika Franz and husband Walker and Erik Jedynski, and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Franz and Brennan Jedynski, all of Sarasota, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
     Friends may call Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St.  A service will be held there Monday at 11 a.m.  The Rev. William Coleman of Luther Memorial Church will officiate.  Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Church, 225 W. 10th St., Erie, PA 16501.
