Lynne Ann Lyle Johnson

Lynne Ann Lyle Johnson, age 54, of Millcreek, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at her residence.

She was born in Erie on December 29, 1962, daughter of Shirley Lyle (Yazvac) and the late Paul Lyle.

Lynne was a 1980 Graduate of McDowell High School. She went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Medical Technologies from Mercyhurst College. Lynne worked at Fortis for ten years prior to her present employment at UPMC Safe Harbor Behavioral Health.

Lynne lived for her girls, their husbands and her four grandchildren. They were the loves of her life. Lynne had the biggest, kindest, most generous heart. Her smile and laugh were contagious and like no other. She loved listening to music and she was a wonderful cook. She loved the holidays and loved to feed people and entertain. She was also very social and enjoyed being with family and friends. Lynne was an avid Steeler’s fan and loved the Kentucky Derby. She also enjoyed being by the water, especially sailing.

She was preceded in death by her father, who passed March 8, 2016.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Jamie (Huntley) and Justin Lopatynski and Kristin (Huntley) and Daniel Isaacson; four grandchildren, Addyson and Camden Lopatynski and Rilyn and Mason Isaacson, and three sisters, Stacey and Hal Bertrand and their children Bryan and Sarah Bertrand, Valerie Lyle, and Christine and Albert Rush, and their children Allison, Abagail, Annabelle, and Mason Joseph Rush. Lynne is further survived by a special aunt, Frances Yazvac, her uncle and his wife, Robert and Rita Lyle and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Her best friend, Cathy Reddout also survives.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Avenue,) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julia Roman Catholic Church, 638 Roslyn Avenue, on Friday at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
