Luzella Porter

Luzella “Sally” Porter age 98, formerly of Erie died on Friday January 1, 2016 at Manchester Commons.

She was born in Minnesota on June 8, 1917 the daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Lindamann Elegeer.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Fairview Senior Center.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Porter, brother Ambrose Elegeer, brother and sister in law Alvin C. and Mary Elegeer, sisters Velletta Randall, Louise Kozinski, Lucille Rutkowski and her husband John. Her brother in law Ray Ballard also preceded her in death .

She is survived by three sisters Eloise Ballard of West Middlesex, PA; Geraldine Ann Petrov and her husband Joseph of Houston, TX, and Viola Jean Kaczmarek and her husband Richard of Fairview; a sister-in-law Mary Rose Dunsmore Elegeer and Sally is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home. 525 Main Street East, Girard on Wednesday January 6th from 11a.m until the time of service at 1p.m. followed by burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
