Lucille Sweigard

Lucille E. Sweigard, age 98 of Erie, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center.

She was born September 7, 1917 in Greenville, PA, daughter of the late Irvin and Martha Hauer Sweigard.

Lucille graduated from Penn High School in Greenville, PA in 1935.

She loved to cook, and was the owner of the LaMeda Tea Room, 713 French St. in Erie.

Lucille also loved to quilt and knit, and she loved flowers.

Survivors include her brother Richard Sweigard (wife Elaine), and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt Laura Hauer, brother William Sweigard, and sisters Pauline Armstrong, Twila Bean, and Ruth Sweigard.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Wednesday from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm, and are invited to the funeral service at Luther Memorial Church, 225 West 10th Street on Thursday at 11 am with Reverend William E. Coleman officiating.

Burial in Delaware Cemetery, Greenville, PA.
