Lucille Pluta

Lucille (Lucy) SanFrotello Pluta, age 86, of Erie, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at UPMC Hamot Hospital.  She was born in Erie on September 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Charles & Virginia Bocianowski SanFrotello.  Lucy graduated from St. Benedict Academy in 1955. Until her retirement in 1994, she was employed for 37 years at Ervite Corporation as vice president of finance and administration.  She was an avid reader, went for walks every day and enjoyed playing cards with her “Card Club Girls”.  Lucy enjoyed decorating and styled several homes and yachts for friends. 

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Frank Pluta.  She leaves behind to cherish her in memory, her sister Lorraine Houser, of Indian Trail, NC; nephew, Mark Gorczycki; nieces, Kate Arkwright and Karen Koper and several other nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her close friend and neighbor, Mary Slusarz.

Close friends and family are welcomed to attend an 11:00 a.m. memorial service at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 5711 W Lake Rd, on Friday, January 19, 2024. Family is planning a Celebration of Life at a later date.
