Louis G. Pletz

Louis G. Pletz age 66, of Erie, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023.

He was born in Erie on December 5, 1956, a son of the late George F. and Lucaria L. Morosky Pletz.

Lou graduated from Tech Memorial High School and went on to work as a carpet layer for over 30 years and worked at Accuride.

He enjoyed ice fishing, golfing, hockey, and baseball, where he was an All-Star pitcher. Lou loved shopping, especially at Wal-Mart and was in a Friday night bowling league at Greengarden Lanes for many years and after, would head to Lefty’s for a few brewskis. More than anything, Lou loved spending time with his family and enjoyed decorating for all the holidays.

Lou and his wife Janet were very active members of ReaLife Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Janet Pletz; three children, Jamie Seigwoth (Corey), Thomas Pletz (Amanda) and Amber Hart (Patrick); three brothers, Richard Pletz (Katherine), Dr. Gregory Pletz (Rebecca) and Michael J. Pletz (Christie); three grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Robbie Kid; Big Al and Junior; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m.
