Lorraine Calafato

Lorraine (Adiutori) Calafato, age 90, of Erie passed away Friday, December 15,2023 at LECOM Senior Living Center with her family at her side. She was born January 21, 1933 in Erie the daughter of the late Dominic “Dee” and Jean (Wright) Adiutori.

A lifelong resident of Erie, Lorraine was a graduate of Strong Vincent high school.  Lorraine enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, and cooking. She loved to take care of others and always opened her home to anyone in need.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore (Sam) Calafato, 2 sons; Samuel and Joseph Calafato, a daughter, Mary Sue Calafato; a sister, Dolores Ulrich and a brother, Frank Adiutori.

Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Lisa Calafato; seven grandchildren, Antoinette Stokes, Leanna Calafato, Victoria Calafato, Raeese Calafato, Abdulah Calafato, Swalena Calafato, and Lena Calafato. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren. She is the sister of  Mary Lou Nepach, Thomas Adiutori and his wife Patricia, and John Adiutori and his wife Susan.

Friends are invited to call Monday December 18, 2023 at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 West10th St. from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with further visiting Tuesday in St. Paul’s RC Church ,1617 Walnut St.,from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
