Our Beautiful Mother, Loretta M. Colegrande, 92, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in Erie on August 6th, 1932, a daughter of the late Emil and Marie Enas Teubert.
Loretta was loved by all that she came in contact with. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She had previously worked at Shriners Children’s Hospital as a CNA from 1951 until 1964. She loved all the families and children that were going through recovery dealing with polio at that time. She also worked at the Presbyterian Lodge for many years and enjoyed all the seniors she took care of. She enjoyed spending time with family, having many parties and picnics over the years. She also loved attending the Senior Center and most of all enjoyed time with her sisters. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and her faith was very important to her.
Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony F. Colegrande; two brothers, Russell and William Teubert; five sisters, Margaret Teubert, Marion McLaughlin, Evelyn Lopez, Dorothy Fedor, and Joanne Mosier; and her grandson, Knox Bizzarro
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Hetrick and Laurie A. Bizzarro (Joe); two grandchildren, Nicholas Hetrick (Molly) and Brandon Hetrick (Crystal); great-grandson, Jake Hetrick, and Romeo and Akria; She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
She loved all of her friends at Maryvale Apartments and the GECAC Senior Center. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Lisa Santia from Home Instead, her nurse, Amy Rau, from VNA Hospice, and Latece Jones, her social worker, for their exceptional care during this time.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 W 26th St, Erie, PA 16508 on Monday, February 24th at 10:30 AM. Private Burial to take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Erie, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505, in Loretta’s name.
