Lois Jean Flatley, age 74, died on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on June 14, 1943 the daughter William Karle and the late Rose M. (Sargent) Karle.
Lois graduated from Erie’s Strong Vincent High School class of 1961 and soon after met the love of her life Michael J. Flatley her husband of 55 years and they raised their sons together. Known to her family and friends as the nicest person you would ever meet, she was a beautiful person with impeccable taste throughout all her life. More than anything however, Lois was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who would always put others needs and interests before hers and would give endless time to those in need around her.
She worked and retired from Palm Beach County, FL where she was Deputy Clerk of Courts for over 20 years retiring in 2013.
Lois is preceded in death by her mother Rose Karle in 2013.
Her husband Michael of Pompano Beach, FL survives, along with sons Dr. Michael P. (Jennifer) Flatley of Swedesboro, NJ and Dr. William K. Flatley of Danville, PA. Lois is also survived by five grandchildren and her father William Karle.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th St. Erie, PA 16506. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the couples Pompano Beach community.
