Lloyd Darrell Stull, age 83, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of June 24, 2023 at Saint Vincent Hospital, with his eldest daughters by his side. He was born in Toledo, OH, on February 29, 1940 to the late Lloyd Hubert, and Marion (Crossly) Stull.
Darrell dedicated his life to aviation maintenance, and continued to work full time on aircrafts for North Coast Air in Erie, PA. He was recently honored by the FAA with the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award, having over 60 years of impeccable service records.
In addition to his parents, Darrell is preceded in death by his brother John Stull, his sister Judith (Stull) Good, and Jane Stull.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Thomas) Legenzoff, Kathryn (Jeff) Maries, Melissa Stull, and by his son, David (Sharon) Stull. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Timothy Legenzoff, Nicholas Legenzoff, Zachary Zehner, Nicolette Zehner, Jack Dunn, Rachel McCune, and three great grandchildren, Raelynn Evans, Pauline Zehner, and Kelly Dunn.
Friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m. in Catawba Cemetery, Catawba Island, OH with Rev. Roger Steiner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choosing.
