Linda Wiest, age 69, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born in Reynoldsville, PA on May 20, 1948, a daughter of Nellie Pardee Perowicz.
Linda was a graduate of McDowell High School and then worked at Carlisle Plastics Company.
Linda was a very active member of the American Legion Color Guard Millcreek Post # 773. She enjoyed going to garage sales and shopping. She also enjoyed walking and going to camp. Linda was an avid Greenbay Packers fan and also enjoyed going to dinner with her girlfriends, also known as the “Carlisle Ladies Club.”
In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her husband, Bernard “Bernie” Wiest, of Erie to whom she will have been married to for 50 years on August 16th, a daughter, Linda MacInnes and her husband Sean, of Erie, and three brothers, Ronald Knapik and his wife Marilyn of Meadville, PA, Michael Knapik and his wife Linda of Mapleton Depot, PA and Buddy Clark of Erie, PA. Linda is further survived by a brother-in-law, Russell Wiest and very good friend Ruth Mussett both of Erie and two sisters-in-law, Melanie Savor and her husband Louis of Ringgold, GA and Maureen Harman and her husband Tom of Erie. Several nieces, nephews, many good friends and her cat Tela also survive.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue) on Saturday from 4 p.m. until the time of service there at 7 p.m.
