Linda Waite

     Linda Lea Pursell Waite, 66, of Erie, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Golden Living Center - Walnut Creek, following a brief illness.  She was born September 3, 1948, in Erie, daughter of the late Harry Pursell and the late June Ballman Fuhrman.  She attended Tech Memorial High School and worked at Value City, Little Anthony's Pizzeria and Rainbow Connection Thrift Store.  She belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church.  Linda loved adding to her collection of lighthouses and enjoyed gardening and watching movies. 
     In addition to her mother and her father, she was preceded in death by two sons, John M. and Richard D. Olson and a brother, Donald Pursell.
     Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Robert J. Waite; two daughters, Brenda Austin of Erie and Anita Fay and husband David of Spartansburg, PA; two sons, Daniel S. Estes and wife Julie of Erie and Joshua Waite and wife Alicia of Harborcreek; a brother, Charles Furhman and companion Jeannie Cavalier of Erie; three sisters, Charlene Miller and husband Thomas of Millcreek and Melodie "Dee Dee" Porfilio and husband Joseph and Christine Pursell, all of Harborcreek; 15 grandchildren, Jennifer Duck, Crystal, Stephen, Thomas and Amber Fay, Shane and Brett Austin, Terry and Kiya Stone; Kayla Estes, Deanna Olson, John Olson, Jr.and Julian, Mason and Nolan Waite; stepchildren, Tina Waite, Cheryl and Dana Long, Robert and Lisa Waite and Jason and Sara Waite, and their families; 12 great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dog, Sassy.
     Friends may call Thursday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St.  A service will be held there Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Erik Young of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O.
