Linda Jean Sutto age 67, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Walnut Creek Health and Rehab Center after a long courageous battle with cancer. Her strength and revivals amazed us all.
She was born in Erie on November 17, 1953, a daughter of the late Frank Jr. and Phyllis Jean Dahlstrand Sutto.
Linda graduated from McDowell High School in 1971.
She retired from retail sales. She enjoyed volunteering at the Equestrian Therapy Centers in Erie and organizing her high school class reunions.
Linda enjoyed decorating, dining out, time at the family pool, beach, and being with her friends. She had a love of animals including her dogs, cats and her favorite horse Easy.
Linda had a feisty, courageous spirit, with hope and faith throughout all of her life experiences. Having a great sense of humor, she loved to laugh, especially at herself! She had a fun-loving zest for life and music, attending many Paul McCartney concerts with her siblings.
Linda’s greatest passion was love for her large family. She was a family-tree caretaker and the social director for family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Robert and Thomas Sutto and a niece, Michelle Sutto.
She is survived by a brother, Edward Sutto and his wife Carolyn in Cincinnati; two sisters, Nancy Tarkowski and her husband Dan of Kansas City, MO and Carol Sutto-Pugliese and her husband Joe of Erie/Fort Myers Beach; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say thank you to Millcreek paramedics for their excellent care. Also to her friends, Bev and Dave, Jenny, Michael, and Kathy for their support.
And a very special thank you to Joe Pugliese for all he’s done through the years.
“And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make”.
Linda took a lot of love with her. We will love her always.
