Linda Mraz

Linda Freitas Mraz, 58, of Erie, PA, passed away on July 18, 2015 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Linda was born June 30, 1957 in Erie, PA and is the daughter of Dorothy Lawrence and the late Manuel Freitas.

She was a 1975 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and Linda was a member of St. Julia Church.

Linda loved spending time with her family. She loved watching Katie cheer for the Millcreek Spirits Cheer and Dance Team, loved soccer and enjoyed watching her children play soccer for LESC, MSA, and McDowell with all of her soccer mom buds. She also loved the resort Delmonte in the Pines which she and her family visited often.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Stephen Mraz, whom she married on February 25, 1994. Survivors also include two wonderful children, Joseph and Katie Mraz, grandmother Mary Duskus, all of Erie; brother, Tim Freitas and wife Caroline; mother in law, Marlene Mraz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26 St (at Powell Ave), on Thursday from 6-8 p.m and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A service will be held there in the funeral home’s All Faiths Chapel on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Linda’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
