Linda Merski

Linda Nowack Merski, age 74, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly at Millcreek Community Hospital on Friday, December 31, 2021. She was born in Rochester NY, August 12, 1947, a daughter to the late Milton and Anne (Lysak) Nowack.

She worked at Carlisle’s Department store and later retired from GeorgeKo Industries. After retirement, she enjoyed wintering in St. Augustine, Florida, and loved spending her days in the sun. Linda was an avid book reader, loved doing puzzles, quilting and going to garage sales. Linda was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed sharing time with family. Linda was a nurturer, always helping others. She loved her two cats, Sara and Claire.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Nowack.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Merski, of Erie; sister, Barbara Burrows, of Greece, NY; daughter, Shawn McClelland (Brian), of Erie; sons, Scott Heher, of Erie, Jacob Merski, of Wisconsin, and Chris Merski (Kelly), of Fairview; granddaughters, Leigh and Lauren Merski; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, on Saturday from noon until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
