Linda Lewis Bastow Kohler

     Linda M. Thrush Lewis Bastow Kohler, 67, of Fairview, died suddenly Friday, December 19, 2014, at UPMC Hamot.  Formerly of Hampton Road, Erie.  She was born August 10, 1947, in Erie, daughter of the late William A. and Kathleen Risinger Thrush.  A 1965 graduate of McDowell High School Linda worked for Parker Snap-tite for 27 years retiring in 2012.  She was a member of LifeWorks Erie; loved watching sports especially the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and Pirates; enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, doing puzzles, bike riding, going to yard sales and thrift stores, taking walks on the beach with her husband Jim, spending time with family; and loved her cat Abbey.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Gerard A. Bastow in 2001; sister, Sandra Whitener; and brother, Patrick Thrush.
     Survivors include her husband, James O. Kohler; two daughters, Kimberly Lewis Halstead (L. Wayne) of Coxs Creek, KY, Janine Bastow Hodinko (Mathew) of Erie; three sons, Scott Lewis (Jill) of Mountain Top, PA, Benjamin J. Bastow (Christa) of Millcreek Twp. and Zachary A. Bastow  (Emily) of Maple Falls, WA; four brothers, Dale Thrush (Barb) of Los Angeles, CA, William Thrush of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeffrey Thrush of Greenville, SC and Michael Thrush of Blanchard, OK; four sisters, Brenda Jacobs of Franklin, NC, Barb Meece (James) of Gray Court, SC, Debra Reed (Edward) of North Jacksonville, FL and Lori Chapman (Donald) of Church Hill, TN; five grandsons; nine granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
     Friends may call Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.  A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. Mark O'Hern.  Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Avenue Erie, PA 16505.
