Linda Lee Hirt

Linda Lee Hirt, age 75, of Prospect, PA died suddenly Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospice House, after being diagnosed with cancer on January 22, 2025. She was born on February 12, 1949 in Erie, PA. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Flora Ann Edelman Spitzer. 

Linda was known for her abundance of love. She never met a stranger as she loved everyone fearlessly. She was forever accepting everyone she crossed paths with. Linda was a safe place for everyone or anyone that needed it. 

She worked at Franks Cleaners for over twenty years. She loved her family, friends and her dog Scout. 

Survivors include her beloved daughter Jennifer Davis and her husband Mike of Prospect, PA, her granddaughters Riley and Claire Davis, Brother Al and his wife Darlene Spitzer of Erie, PA, her nephews David Spitzer and his wife Jessica, Bob Spitzer and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Her close friends, Janet Barr, Judy Rood, Ann Miler and her friend Julie Schroeder. 

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by the father of her daughter and close friend Joel P. Hirt and close friend Howard Brown. 

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of the Butler Memorial Hospital for all of their kindness, love and compassion. 

Friends and family are welcome to call Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 11:00AM until the time of the service at 1:00PM. With Rabbi S. Robert Morais officiating. Burial will follow in C.B.S. Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date to be announced, at First United Methodist Church in Butler, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Samaritans Hospice, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, Pa., Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd, Renfrew, PA 16053, or First United Methodist Church 1802 N Main St Ext, Butler, PA 16001.
