Linda Amado

Linda Mae Alves Amado, age 66, of Erie PA, lost her courageous battle with kidney cancer on Thursday, December 26, 2013.

She was born on September 3, 1947 in Scituate, MA to August and Nellie Sousa Alves.

She graduated, with honors, from Scituate High School in 1965 before going on to marry and have children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ervin, Joseph, and Samuel Alves.

She is survived by her daughters, Richelle Amado of Boston MA, Kim Amado of Erie PA, and her son, John Roberts(Tracy) of Orlando, FL. She is further survived by her sisters, Mary Bulu (George), Rosalie Bulu, and Nancy Samm, her brother, Ernest Alves (Lynn) and her sister-in-law, Irene Alves, all of Massachusetts. She also leaves to cherish her memory, 3 grandsons, Thierno, Oumar and Marcus, and 3 granddaughters, Nouria, Cali, and Payton. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friend and neighbor, Ann Shupenko and her childhood friend, Judy Oppenheim.

Linda Mae had a very generous nature and kept her "fiesty" spirit to the very end. Above all else, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She was a beloved Aunt to many special nieces and nephews. She made an impact on many and she will be sadly missed.
