Leslie Nick

Leslie Ann Nick, age 68, of Erie, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 20, 1952, a daughter to the late Paul Traut and Mary Ellen (Rosenbaum) Traut.

As a self-employed daycare provider, Leslie nurtured and supported many children for a number of years. She always opened her home and welcomed people as family. When her children were younger, she was very active in the PTA at St. Andrew School. Leslie was an avid animal lover especially when it came to her dogs. Leslie often donated to the Anna Shelter and Shriners Hospitals of Children and marked her calendar for Erie Gives every year. She loved to spend time gardening and loved to travel across the country in her youth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Alice Traut; an uncle, Walter A. Traut; and an aunt, Shirley Traut Conboy.

Leslie will be missed by her children, Paul Nick (Jaime), Lindsey Nick, and Michael Nick (Chelse); 4 grandchildren, Addison, Alexis, Benjen and Mason; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schaeffer and Janet Amann (Paul); brothers-in-law, Timothy Nick (Christine) and Thomas Nick (Jodelle); and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th St. on Saturday from 2:00 until time of service at 4:00 PM.
