Leslie Lewis Jackson, age 71, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Erie January 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Carl B. and Elizabeth Fryer Lewis.
Leslie graduated from Lawrence Park High School, Class of 1964, and Villa Maria College, Class of 1975.
She served in the U.S. Army.
Leslie was employed as a transporter at St. Vincent Hospital for 16 years, and then worked at Giant Eagle.
She was a member of St. Julia Catholic Church, and a member of the choir.
Leslie was an avid reader, loved making jewelry and was very talented with ceramics, enjoyed long rides with her husband, and visiting nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Kathleen Lubiejewski.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years James Jackson, sisters Heidi Shull and her husband Ken of Tyron, NC, and Priscilla Lewis of Kittrell, NC; aunts Shirley Billingsley and Sally Fryer both of Erie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Pamela Shaut of Erie; niece and nephew Linse and Jerry Wood of Alexandria, VA; nephews Drew Shull of Charlotte, NC and Thomas Erickson of Erie; niece Leanne Peterson (Jeremy) of Erie; nephews Jim Shaut (Janice Friedrichsmeyer) and Stephen Shaut (Amy James) both of Erie, Brandon Shaut of Union Bridge, MD; and niece Kaila Shaut (Steve Fox) of Erie. She is also survived by many great nephews and nieces and cousins.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.), on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julia Catholic Church, 638 Roslyn Ave. on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Private burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
