Leroy Hoover

Leroy Adam Hoover age 85 of Erie, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center.

He was born in Erie on December 3, 1935 a son of the late Cleveland and Madeline Mummaugh Hoover.

He was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and worked as a machine builder at Swanson Erie for over 35 years.

He was a member of the S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie many years, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and garage sales. He was an incredible clock repairman. He loved music and going to concerts, particularly eight great Tuesday in more recent years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Gorzynski Hoover, a sister, Evelyn Trimble; three brothers, Sterling, Ted, and Bob Hoover.

Leroy is survived by his children, Sandra L Whitworth and husband Russell of Gilford, England; Jeffrey Hoover and his wife Kim of Girard; Tina Folga and her husband John of Fairview; his companion Georgia Brown; a sister, Loretta Marshall; three brothers, Kenny Hoover and his wife Cheri; Steve Hoover and his wife Connie; and Gary Hoover.  He is further survived by eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 West 26^th St. Erie on Tuesday from 4 until the time of service at 6pm.
