Lenora Miniger, age 93, of Erie died Monday, August 22, 2022 after a short illness.
She was born September 27, 1928 in Erie and was a lifelong resident having graduated from Roosevelt Junior High School in 1944 and Strong Vincent High School in 1948. Lenora then worked as a personal shopper for the Boston Store until she married the love of her life, Robert J. Miniger on November 12, 1950.
Lenora loved to cook and prepared incredible meals for her family for every occasion. She carried herself with a sense of style and grace. She was a very social person and loved everyone around her. Lenora also had a passion for music, the arts, and was a voracious reader. Her greatest passion was her family and raising her four boys.
She was preceded in death by her father John Bianchi in 1950; her brother John Bianchi in 1977; her mother Katherine (Kay) Bianchi in 1977 and her son, Robert T. Miniger in 2019.
Lenora is survived by her sons, David Miniger (Julie), James Miniger, and Paul Miniger. She is the grandmother of Michael Miniger, Sarah Miniger, Emily Miniger, and Greg Miniger and is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Peggy Miniger.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2835 East Carson St., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
