Lela Looney

Lela B. Looney, age 88, of Erie, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Golden Living Western Reserve. She was born in Talladega County, AL on February 4, 1926, a daughter of the late G. Steve and Mary Lee Benson Willingham.

She loved to read the Bible. Lela also liked to cook, crochet and make quilts.

In additional to her parents, Lela was preceded in death by her great-great grandson, Cyrus Jackson Cleckley, a great-granddaughter, Aubria Nichole Cleckley and granddaughter, Sheila Alesia Barrett.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Louise Cleckley of Erie, two sisters, Lucille Willingham of Madison, AL, Estelle Allen of Talladega, AL, a brother, Charles Willingham and 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Private services have been held by the family.
