Lawrence Wright

Lawrence H. Wright, age 76, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015.

He was born in New Castle, PA on July 8, 1939, son of the late Harold Wright and Emily Fielding Wright.

Lawrence was a 1957 graduate of Strong Vincent High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1961 and then served in the United States Air Force Reserves until 1966. He worked at General Electric in Erie, retiring after 40 years of service.

He had a lifelong love of music, karaoke, chess, geology and sports. His grandchildren were the light of his life and kept him going during his illness.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lucinda Frazier Wright, six children, Angel, Christanne, Aleatha, Lawrence, Ebony and Amber; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his step-father, Ferris Beard and three siblings, Gerald, Patricia and Catherine. Many nieces, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends may call on Monday November 9th from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 am at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St. (at Powell Ave.).
