Laura Drabic (Allessie)

Laura Ann Drabic (Allessie), age 43, of Erie, passed away on Thursday November 23, 2017 at home surrounded by friends and family.  She fought a courageous battle against breast cancer. 

She was born in Erie on October 16, 1974, a daughter of Joe Allessie of Erie and Marilyn Allessie (Fell) of Erie.   She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1993.  She worked at Blessed Sacrament School and State Farm Insurance.   Laura was a very organized person which allowed her to fit everything into her schedule including photography, running, sports, the kids’ activities and most of all being with friends and family.  Family was her world.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Joseph and Ruth Mages and Peter and Lucy Allessie, and two aunts: Nicoletta Colt and Josephine Allessie.

In addition to her parents, Laura is survived by her husband Marty Drabic; her children: Alyssa Collins, Abby Marinucci and Max Drabic; her step-children Riley and Lilly Drabic; her brother Peter Allessie and his family of Erie and Anthony Allessie and his family of Richmond, VA and her Uncle Jay Fell.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Sunday November 26^th at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Rd. from 9am – 11am and 5pm – 9pm.   Prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 12 Noon on Monday November 27^th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm at St. Luke Church, 421 E. 38^th St.  with Rev. John Malthaner presiding.  Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
