Larry Morrow

September 24, 1940 — November 12, 2021

Larry Morrow, age 81, of Erie PA passed - peacefully and returned home to the Lord, Friday November 12, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Erie, PA on September 24, 1940, a son of the late Ross and Alice Whiteman Morrow.

Larry graduated from Academy High School in 1958, attended Penn State University, and completed his bachelor’s degree in finance at Gannon College. Shortly thereafter, Larry obtained a position in the Material Planning Department of American Sterilizer and retired after 43 years of service.

Larry volunteered his time at the Millcreek Food Pantry, was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, as well as the Lawrence Park Golf Club, Erie Mannerchor and the Erie Elks Lodge.  Known for his kindness, loyalty, and humility; he leaves a loving legacy and long-lasting impact to his family and many lifelong friends. Larry enjoyed all sports, was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians, Oakland (Las Vegas) Raiders, and Penn State Nittany Lions. Although, he often admitted he was a lousy golfer and every shot was short; he loved playing golf. His most favorite activity, however, was spending time with family; especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Thurman and Edna Long, his sister Yvonne and brother Ross (Lee) Morrow.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 wonderful years, Patty Gail Morrow, two sons: Jeffrey (Jennifer) Morrow, Christopher (Christine) Morrow; a daughter, Stephanie (Bryan) Welker. He is also survived by his seven loving grandchildren, Collin, Quinn, Allie, Ryan and Meghan Morrow, as well as Connor and Carson Welker. He is also survived by his sister, Patty Nawrocki (Tom), along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott, 3801 West 26th Street on Friday November 19th from 3-7 pm, and are invited to a service on Saturday November 20th at 11 am, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church West Millcreek Food Pantry 3642 W. 26th. Street, Erie, PA 16506.
