Kurtis E. Decker, age 74, of Erie, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born in Erie October 12, 1947, a son of the late Roy E. and Ida Tafini Decker and was raised as a young boy in Kearsarge, PA
Kurt graduated from McDowell High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Verizon and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Kurt was also a member of the Zukor Club and Elks Lodge 67, as well as a former member of the Zem Zem Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Adair Shaw Decker; sons, Kirk Decker (Jessica), of Tiusville, PA, and Keith Decker (Meghan), of Flagstaff, AZ and Dean Slowikowski, who was like a son to him. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Olivia, Milo and Peri Decker and Andrew Slowikowski, who was like a grandson. He is further survived by a brother, K. Scott Decker of Leesburg, FL and a sister, Lori Pfadt of Erie, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private and entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie.
