Kristy Corder

Kristy Lynn Corder, age 34, of Erie passed away on August 10, 2013 at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation Center.

Born on July 18, 1979 she was the daughter of Mary Anne (McLallen) Corder of Erie, PA and the late Alexander “Zander” Corder.

She graduated with honors from Strong Vincent High School in 1997 and was also prom queen that same year. She also attended the GECAC Entrepreneur Class, Gannon University’s Upward Bound program, Howard Hanna Real Estate Class, Erie Business Center and Mercyhurst College.

Kristy enjoyed collecting crystal figurines, crafting, singing, dancing, movie night with children, working out at Gold’s Gym, billiards, going out with friends, limo rides with her girls and family members and was fan of Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Along with her father, she is preceded in death by great grandmother, Mary Casillo; maternal grandparents Lenora and Donald McLallen; brother Joseph Johnson; nephew Travon Johnson and sister Ellen “Ladybug” Corder.

Kristy is survived by her life-long companion and father of her children, Shannon “Hawk” Jones of Erie, PA; daughters: Marshanay and Shanlasia Jones both of Erie, PA; mother; brothers: Stephan (Jennifer) McLallen, Alex Corder, Shawn (Nicole) Corder, Joshua Corder all of Erie, PA and Michael Stokes; sisters: Stephanie (Jerry) Nixson, Zandre Corder (Joseph Johnson), Angela (Jon) Skelton, Jacquelyn Corder, Felicia Pulliam all of Erie, PA and Lynette Stokes of San Diego, CA.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with the funeral service will be held there on Monday at 11 am.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.
