Kimberly House

Kimberly Jane Roberts House, age 63, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 13, 2023, at UPMC Hamot Hospital.

She was born on August 2, 1959, in Laurel, Mississippi, to the late Vernon and Carolyn Roberts Blakely.

Kim graduated from East High School in 1977. She was employed at Child Development Center as a teacher’s aide. Before CDC, she worked at Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center where she was an employee for 15 years.

Kim was a great cook and her family looked forward to her holiday dinners. She loved watching movies, old Westerns and playing computer games. “Sissy”, as she was affectionately known, was a good woman, devoted mother, loving grandmother, faithful daughter, caring sister, generous aunt & kind friend. She was loved more than she ever knew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Katie C. Johnson; former husband and father of her children, Frank A. House; and her uncle, George Johnson. 

Left to cherish her memory: daughter Nikisha House, of Erie; son, Jamie House Sr. and wife Corinna, of Reisterstown, MD; three beautiful grandchildren, Jamie Jr., Laila, and Jazmine House; sisters, Valerie Taylor and Katie Blakely, both of Erie, Melissa Henderson and husband Edward, of Charleston, SC, Wanda White and husband James, of Prince George, VA; her brother, Eric Blakely and wife Audra, of Matthews, NC; good friend, Frank Sellers Jr; also, many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th St., on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
