Kevin Mark Brown age 48, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Golden Living Walnut Creek, following an extended illness with his wife at his side.

He was born in Erie on December 3, 1965 a son of James Brown and the late Verna Waidley.

Kevin graduated from Tech Memorial High School. He worked as a cook at the American Legion Post #773.

Kevin enjoyed bowling, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Blackhawks, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Jeff Burton fan in Nascar.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Brown; mother in law, Sallie Fenchel, and Grandparents: Vern and Louise Waidley.

He is survived by his wife Lori Brown of Erie; his father James (Ann) Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, three step children, Nick and Jeff Hoopsick and Eddie Fenchel all of Erie, a son, Anthony Puline of Erie; brother and sister in law Mike and Sue Brown and their three kids, Amber, Heather and Ashley, brother in law and sister in law, Leslie and Sam McCray and their three children, Cassie, Briana and Mandy (Bobby) ; brother in law, Chuckie Fenchel; father in law, Charles Fenchel; 8 grandchildren and one grandson on the way. He is further survived by many friends, cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Walnut Creek Golden Living, Asera Care Hospice, the men’s and ladies Wednesday bowling league at Greengarden Lanes and Mary and Ray Krieger of H&K Donuts.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 3 until the time of service at 7 pm. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
