Kenneth Parraway

Kenneth "Kenny" Parraway, Jr., age 61, of Erie, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at his residence.

Kenneth was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 13, 1954, a son of the late Mattie A. Dyess and Kenneth Parraway Sr.

He was a resident of Erie for 56 years and was employed as a laborer at EMI for 12 years.

Kenneth enjoyed fishing, baseball, wrestling, drinking his coffee, and was an avid walker.

He had a natural ability of being a friend to everyone he met. He will be remembered for his honesty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Marcus Jordan, and former wife Mary Parraway.

Survivors include his son Kenneth Durrell Parraway; his stepson Nathaniel Jordan of Erie; four brothers James Parraway (Ramona) of Erie, Andre Parraway of Glen Arden, Md., Dexter Parraway (Lezle) of Wilmington, Del., and Henry Dyess of Pittsburgh, Pa.; eight sisters Maryilyn Bounds, Jacqueline Henderson (Dennis), Lisa Parraway (Tommy Dunlap) of Erie, Donna Walker of Huntsville, Ala., Penny Parraway of Pittsburgh, April Ross (Lyndon) of Clinton, Md., Angela Parraway of Glen Arden, Md. and Audrey Parraway Woods (Raymond) of Wilmington, Del.; and seven grandchildren Jayden, Amari, Skyy, Dezira, Jayleana, Carly, and Derrick.
