Kenneth John Jakubowski, age 76, of Erie passed away Thursday February 7, 2013 at his residence.
Kenneth was born in Erie on November 9, 1936 son of the late Max and Clara Brzozowski Jakubowski.
He was a graduate of Academy High School class of 1954 and served in the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Japan.
Kenneth spent 35 years in retail sales at Sears. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance, Circolo National Lodge.
Following his retirement he was an avid golfer and played almost every day. He always enjoyed a few beers and some wings or steak following a round of golf.
He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, cards, Las Vegas, family picnics and traveling. Kenneth was strong, proud, tough, very smart and always could take bad things and make them not so bad.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother George Jakubowski; two sisters, Maxine Fields and Elaine Jakubowski, two brothers-in-law Benjamin Fields and Henry Wawrzyniak; and a nephew Gary Wawrzyniak.
Survivors include a son Mark Brian Jakubowski; two sisters, Teresa Wawrzyniak and Norma Fialkowski; his former wife Carole Williams Jakubowski; brother-in-law Patrick Williams (Shirley); sister-in-law Nancy Jakubowski of Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
