Kenneth Green

Kenneth "Ken" Robert Green, age 71, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home in Wattsburg. 

He was born in Erie July 25, 1946, son of the late Robert W. and Victoria E. Bosko Green.

Ken graduated in 1964 from Melbourne High School in Florida. He worked for Judda's Fish, at the Kennedy Space Center, and Piper Air Craft in Cape Canaveral Florida. He moved to Detroit Michigan and worked construction until moving to the Mill Village area. Here, Ken was a heavy equipment operator working in his father’s business from 1969 to 1975 in the LeBoeuf Township area and Andy's Equipment, from where he retired.  He was a member of the Union City Moose Club and Eagles Clubs in Wattsburg and Erie. Ken was an avid deer hunter for many years, and later became a deer processor, known by many as "The Sportsman's Choice," which was a family business.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents. 

Ken leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia, brother Tom (Judy) Green, of Warren, PA; sons, Kevin R. (Samantha) Green, of Wattsburg, Mike (Kelly) Green, of Vero Beach Florida, Jeff (Valerie) Green, of Roseland, Florida, Buddy (Charity) Lafayette, of Tennessee; daughters, Patricia Russell (Mike), of Batavia, NY and Robyn Grove (Larry), of Erie, PA. Ken was very devoted to his grandchildren, Kevin Robert Green, Jr., Haley Marie Green, Josiah and Elisha Green, of Vero Beach Florida, Teresa, of New York and Amanda Wilson, of Erie. He is further survived by great grandchildren, Gabriel, Jayden and new great granddaughter, Aria, of New York, Kaley and Carter, of Erie; many cousins, as well as a niece, Susan; nephew, Paul, great nephew, Lucas and a good friend, Bruce Risjan.

The family would also like to thank his friends and hospice caregivers, Scott, Tammy, Sue, Jen and Pastor Dave. 

Friends are invited to call on the family, Friday, May 18^th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie 16510. Private burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
