Kenneth A. Gray age 94, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2023 at the VA Medical Center.
He was born in Manor Township on August 27, 1929, a son of the late Samuel H. and Ellen Marie Gibson Gray.
He attended Ford City High School and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953.
Kenneth worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass before moving to Erie in 1975 where he started working at General Electric until his retirement in 1994.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Kenneth enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, listening to Country music and playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alan Gray and his siblings, Homer, Tom, Walter, George Roy and Robert Gray, Florence Bureau, Evelyn Cravner and Annabelle Keeler.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Martha Boney Gray; four children, Barbara Piechotka (Russ), Linda Reynolds (Tom), Dennis Gray and Nancy Dombrowski (Tim); 5 grandchildren, Sarah Groner, Gina Groner, Devin Dombrowski (Michelle), Andrew Piechotka and Jennifer Gray; several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Regency and VA Medical Center for all of their care and support they gave to Kenneth.
Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery with full Military Honors.
